"A superbug is a bacteria that is resistant to most or all of the antibiotics we would normally have to treat it," says Dr. Daniel Uslan, assistant clinical professor of infectious diseases at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Uslan directs the UCLA Antimicrobial Stewardship Program, where stealthy bacteria like CRKP and MRSA are studied.
