How do I apply to the general volunteer program?

We accept student volunteers every quarter. Attendance at an information session is mandatory for all applicants.

What if the information session is full? Can I still apply?

No, unfortunately, if an information session is full, you will need to sign-up to the next information session.

How long is the Information Session?

The Information Session is 2 hours long and conducted via Zoom.

What if I cannot make it to the Information Session?

If you are unable to attend a scheduled Information Session, you will need to register for the next available session. We do not offer make-up sessions.

What Type of TB test do you accept?

We only accept TB blood tests: QuantiFERON TB Gold Plus (QFT-Plus) and T-Spot.

Can I get a TB skin test instead?

No, we only accept TB blood tests as listed above.

Some forms say I need a flu vaccine, and others say I do not, which is correct?

The flu vaccine requirement is seasonal. It is required for volunteers accepted during flu season, which runs from October to April. If you are accepted during the spring or summer months, a flu vaccine is not required.
