Occupational Therapy Residency

At the UCLA BrainSPORT program, we are excited to offer a new opportunity for occupational therapy students to complete their doctoral residency experience with our team. The doctoral residency program focuses mainly on clinical patient care while providing additional opportunities for research and program development. Our resident works closely with the interdisciplinary team to provide evidence-based interventions to pediatric and adult patients. Patients present with diagnoses of concussion, epilepsy, POTs, and headaches.

Our occupational therapist also collaborates with Operation Mend, a program focused on supporting veterans with a history of traumatic brain injury. Residents will have the opportunity to develop research studies and will have support in publishing their data. Residents will also have the opportunity to engage in program development and community outreach throughout their time with BrainSPORT.

Applicants must be cleared to take their NBCOT exam by the start of their residency and obtain a temporary license by November. We are looking for applicants who are passionate about sports, athletics or working with athletes.

Applications are due by January 15th.

Interviews will be conducted shortly after and offer extended by early March. Applications can be emailed to [email protected].
