COVID-19 Information

Regarding CDC Masking Guidelines Issued 5/13/2021

  • UCLA Health Policy continues to require all individuals entering any building or clinic to wear a mask or face covering continuously, NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • UCLA Health Policy continues to require all individuals entering any building or clinic to follow the social distancing guidelines.
  • CDC guidelines issued on 5/13/2021 does not change UCLA Health Policy requirements at this time.
  • How to protect yourself, where to go if you need care for COVID-19 and how to address lingering symptoms.

Urgent Care walk in is open in the Jules Stein Building during this time and seeing TRULY URGENT patients. Office hours are from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. They are limited in staff so patients may be turned away if capacity is reached. Faculty offices are open for patients with urgent problems and those who are in the postoperative phase of care. UCLA hospitals and clinics will remain open and fully operational; more information is available on UCLA Health’s website.

To protect you, other patients and our staff, visitors with fever, chills, cough, runny nose, sore throat or body aches should not visit at this time as they put you and our other patients at higher risk of infection. Add California COVID notify to your smart phone.

Vaccine distribution: What you need to know

All California residents who are 12 or older are now eligible to book their COVID-19 vaccination. Follow the state’s progress on this vaccination progress dashboard.

Last year, the Food and Drug Administration authorized use of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for 12- to 15-year-olds. The CDC and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health gave the vaccine the green light for this age group, and UCLA Health and other local sites began distributing it.
