The CDKL5 Deficiency Disorder (CDD) Center of Excellence in the Division of Pediatric Neurology at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital is the first Center of Excellence on the West Coast. The program includes a multidisciplinary approach to clinical care for children with CDKL5 Deficiency Disorder (CDD) as well as adults. We have clinical research studies and clinical trials to advance knowledge and improve care for this rare genetic condition. The goal of the CDKL5 Center of Excellence team is to provide the best advanced care and treatment advice for people of all ages with CDD.
We have a multidisciplinary team to evaluate the whole patient and collectively determine the best treatment course. The clinic focuses on diagnostic and ongoing assessments including medical therapies, surgical treatments, and ketogenic diet evaluation and therapy.
Our clinic is supported by the International Foundation for CDKL5 Research.
