The UCLA Steve Tisch BrainSPORT Concussion Champions CME Course is designed to increase concussion care and quality for youth the in the Greater Los Angeles community. This course provides hands-on interactive training to help providers standardize and implement evidence-based concussion diagnostic and treatment practices for their patients. California state laws (AB 2127) and (AB 2007) requires anyone 18 years or younger to be evaluated by a healthcare provider trained in concussion if a concussion is suspected by their school or youth sports organization.
The Concussion Champions Program is a half day course that educates community healthcare providers who will serve as the lead physician for diagnosing and treating sport-related concussions at their community practice.
Participants will walk away with the tools they need to provide the highest level of concussion care including: templates, forms educational materials, and guidance for properly treating patients.
