Application Timeline
Information Session: The Bruin Beans host an information session before the recruitment cycle each year. The slides from the previous info session can be found below:
Applications: An online application must be submitted to the club. Your applications will be reviewed carefully by our team, and we will determine whether to extend an invitation to the interview stage of the application process. Applications are now CLOSED for the Fall 2026 recruitment cycle.
Interviews: The dresscode for all interviews is business professional. If an invitation is extended, you must schedule a time slot through the email, or your spot may be forfeited. We will have several time slots available to accommodate different schedules. Group interviews will take place from October 12-15th and individual interviews will take place from October 16-19th. If there are no available time slots for you, let us know as soon as possible.
Onboarding: Accepted applicants will begin the onboarding process throughout Fall.

Who can apply?
Our program seeks students who have an interest in the field of healthcare and want to advance research, education, and community outreach. Our members are dedicated, creative and take initiative in participating and fostering the growth of our club. There is no GPA requirement and all current UCLA undergraduates are encouraged to apply. Students who are in another UCLA-approved shadowing program are not eligible.
What are the applicant expectations?
All members are required to complete 2 research shifts a week (4 hours per shift) as well as attend all meetings and outreach events.
