Education is central to the research mission of the UCLA Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine. The research track of the UCLA Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program develops outstanding physician-scientists through the Specialty Training and Advanced Research (STAR) Program, a two-year program that offers protected research time and opportunities to take part in clinical, translational or basic science research with one-on-one mentors and supervision by a dedicated research committee. The STAR program culminates in either a Masters of Clinical Research or a PhD.
