Gynecologic Oncology 

Martins Ayoola, MD, fellow, received a Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center Fellowship Award for his project entitled, “Perioperative Nanotherapy for Ovarian Cancer,” focusing on mitigating the unwanted effects of surgery-induced peritoneal injury, particularly in ovarian cancer patients. He also presented "Anxiety and Depression in Gynecology Oncology Patients Cared for in a Public Safety Net Hospital" at a UCLA symposium as well as the following abstract presentations: 

  • Variations of genomic instability score (GIS) and BRCA mutations with age in ovarian cancer patients. The Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO) 2024 Winter Meeting
