At UCLA Health, we recognize that a holistic approach — caring for your stress, sleep, nutrition and exercise in addition to fibroid treatment — can help your well-being.

Unraveling the relationship between fibroids and the rest of your body may help lessen your symptoms or even relieve them. By making diet changes, taking vitamins and supplements, and pursuing homeopathy and bodywork therapies, you may start to feel better.

Yoga Treatment

If you wish to pursue nutrition and lifestyle counseling or other supplemental care, we work with the UCLA Center for East-West Medicine. We can help you find a practitioner that meets your specific needs.

Finding holistic fibroid care at UCLA

Some people refer to wellness approaches as natural treatment for fibroids or natural remedies for fibroids. We see them as complementary to medical and surgical approaches, such as watchful waiting, ultrasound, embolization and robotic-assisted surgery.

Of course, the decision to have any form of treatment is an individual one. We want you to know there are alternative treatment methods and doctors who can help you. We encourage you to explore your options so you can make treatment choices that are comfortable for you.
