The Mindful Awareness Research Center (MARC) is a partner of the Norman Cousins Center for Psychoneuroimmunology within the Jane and Terry Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA.
The mission of the Mindful Awareness Research Center (MARC) is to disseminate mindful awareness across the lifespan through education and research.
In this MAPs II class, we will explore mindfulness-based ethics. We will look at how ethical behavior emerges from and influences our meditation practice.
Join us online to study the practice and theory of mindfulness, including sitting and moving meditation, ways to deepen positive emotions like gratitude or joy, relational mindfulness, and methods for integrating awareness and creativity into ordinary activities. We will examine the science of mindfulness for mental and physical health, including reduced stress, improved attention, and greater mind-body awareness.
