Celiac disease is one of the most common autoimmune conditions affecting approximately 3 million individuals in the United States, though over 80% remain undiagnosed. Celiac disease can be very serious and can lead to disruptive health conditions when left untreated. The UCLA Vatche and Tamar Manoukian Division of Digestive Diseases is dedicated to finding a cure for celiac disease through the research, education, training, and clinical initiatives of the UCLA Celiac Disease Program. The program is pioneering clinical care and scientific discovery through its patient-centered team of experts in gastroenterology and nutrition who work together along with experts in other subspecialties to deliver accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
