Randy Ostin Memorial Fund

Make a Difference

Randy Ostin

Your vision and generosity in establishing a memorial fund in Randy’s memory moves me tremendously and I cannot thank you enough. I have dedicated my life’s work to saving lives through transplantation and my number one priority is to build a Transplant Institute here at UCLA to house what has become one of the most comprehensive, premier transplant centers in the nation. The Randy Ostin Memorial Fund will serve as a lasting tribute to his life and legacy by providing much needed support for our work in securing a future for thousands of patients like Randy in the years to come.""The Ostins have been members of our UCLA family for many, many years. As a result, I too am deeply saddened by Randy’s death and wish to extend my sincere sympathy to all of his family and friends. As a liver transplant surgeon, I am inspired daily by my patients and Randy was certainly no exception.

The memorial fund also helped finance UCLA Tiverton House game room for patients, children and family members to enjoy while staying there.

About Justin Thomas Low

Justin was born December 28, 1988 in Castro Valley, CA, he was born with a single ventricle, pulmonary atresia and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). He received several heart repairs at Children’s Hospital Oakland and later he received two heart transplants, both were preformed at UCLA.

Justin enjoyed every minute of his 15 years of life. He was a caring and loving person who adored animals, NASCAR, cycling, and cooking shows. Justin’s courage, inner strength, and kind heart were affections by everyone who encountered him and through this fund, the families that never met Justin will feel his compassion too.
