“The Kidney Fair is about being positive and giving hope to our patients with kidney disease,” states Dr. Anjay Rastogi, director of the Polycystic Kidney Disease Program at UCLA. “There are 50 booths with music, a kidney zone for kids, a walk, yoga and resources for what people need to know. We had 500 registrants with close to 2,000 attendees. Our mission is to be proactive. We want to get the word out that there is preventative medicine. There is hope. We want to let people know they’re part of the team so they can be an advocate for themselves. We want to carry on the UCLA Health mission.”
