Dr. Yeh is one of the nicest, most professional and talented surgeons I've met. He made me feel very relaxed from the initial consultation, when he performed an ultrasound and laid out the different options available to me. We scheduled surgery shortly after and he took a genuine interest in my life and my diagnosis, letting me know what he thought would be best in my unique circumstances. I'm a teacher, and one of my friends is a good friend of his - I had heard wonderful things about Dr. Yeh and they proved to all be true. For the surgery, he did a complete resection of my thyroid and took out my entire thyroid due to thyroid cancer. I met with him two weeks after to do a follow up and the scarring is going as expected, so our next visit is going to be a year from now.
Dr. Yeh is a very positive and upbeat person - he answered all of my questions, and as a teacher I had a lot of questions. During our visit, we talked about things other than thyroid cancer itself - he recommended a book to read, and we talked about life in general. I've come to find that he's the finest endocrine surgeon in Southern California. We ran into no complications whatsoever. Even beyond Dr Yeh, the entire surgery staff was very clear about what was going to happen and when it was going to happen. To know that the cancer is gone and to meet quality people like that is incredible, and it's been a pleasure to be a patient of UCLA health system.
