Isidro B. Salusky, MD

Distinguished Professor of Pediatrics / Chief, Division of Pediatric Nephrology

Dr. Salusky has a longstanding interest in the study of the biological abnormalities of bone and mineral metabolism that occur in the context of chronic kidney disease (CKD). Over the years, his research has defined the features of renal osteodystrophy across the stages of CKD and has provided the first evidence for the high prevalence of vascular calcifications in children and young adults treated with maintenance dialysis.
