The Magnet® Journey at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center

Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center Earns 5th Magnet® Designation for Nursing Excellence

We are proud to announce that in June 2025, Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center (RRUCLA) has earned its fifth Magnet® designation — the nation’s highest honor for nursing excellence from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Magnet® recognition is a testament to our unwavering dedication to outstanding patient outcomes, nurse satisfaction, and the exceptional quality of care we provide. Roughly 9% of hospitals nationwide receive Magnet® recognition, and only the top 2% of hospitals have achieved it five times. RRUCLA was initially awarded Magnet® Status for Nursing Excellence from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in 2005, with re-designation in 2010, 2015, 2020, and again in 2025. This repeated recognition of nursing excellence demonstrates our commitment to delivering evidence-based, innovative, and compassionate care to patients, their families, and our community.

We are proud to highlight nursing excellence at RRUCLA through the ANCC Magnet® designation and are committed to continuing our tradition of excellence!
