The UCLA/Orthopaedic Institute for Children Center for Cerebral Palsy is dedicated to improving function in children and adults with cerebral palsy through a program of timely diagnosis, comprehensive assessment, and individualized treatment. Our team of medical experts takes an interdisciplinary approach to diagnosis, treatment and innovative research. Team members that patients may see during their clinical visits include an orthopaedic surgeon, a nurse practitioner, a social worker, a therapist and a neurosurgeon. We closely collaborate with team members in the departments of neurology and developmental pediatrics, who regularly see our patients, as well. Ability is emphasized over disability and the patient's goals are an integral part of the decision-making process. If necessary, referrals to other UCLA specialists are coordinated through the Center. We additionally provide referrals to ancillary services such as enhanced learning centers and recreational programs.
Complete information about our service is available on our Center for Cerebral Palsy at UCLA | OIC website.
