About

Dr. Hsu emphasizes on interdisciplinary evaluation and consultation, multimodal non-opioid pain medicine, conservative and interventional approach on acute and pain medicine in both ambulatory and inpatient consult service.

Dr. Hsu has participated in teaching and mentoring fourth year medical students, Anesthesiology Residency Program, and Pain Medicine Fellowship at UCLA for over 25 years.

Dr. Hsu is board certified in Anesthesiology and has additional subspecialty certificate and recertification in Pain Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA).

Dr. Hsu is the first author of the book "Problem Based Pain Management", author and editor of the book "Acupuncture and Pain Management".

Dr. Hsu has been a faculty member of "Acupuncture Workshop"  and "Problem Based Learning Discussion" at Annual convention of American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA). 

As an invited national and international speaker on continued medical education (CME) programs, Dr. Hsu presented on various topics including acute and chronic pain medicine, pain management in the elderly, herpes zoster and postherpetic neuralgia (PHN), myofascial pain syndrome (MPS) and fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS), complimentary and alternative pain management (CAM).
