Dr. Jeong-hee Ku is a board-certified general endocrinologist who practices in Burbank. She sees patients with variety of endocrine disorders including thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, pituitary diseases, diabetes and osteoporosis, and has special clinical interest in diabetes care.
Dr. Ku received her medical degree from State University of New York, Buffalo. She then completed her internal medicine residency at University of Texas, Southwestern, and endocrinology fellowship at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Prior to medical training, she earned her bachelor's degree at UCLA.

Dr. Ku is a delight. She has so much energy and enthusiasm for her practice. I’m just lucky to have her on my medical team. Today she gave me a lot of direction on what I should focusing on in the next year. Surprisingly is was not Calcium (I have osteoporosis) but instead keeping my weight up, getting enough protein, and exercising. I definitely felt energized from our visit.

Dr. Jeong Hee Ku displays all the qualities that I can consider to be characteristic of a good physician. She is kind and supportive. She is current on the changing complexities of endocrinology. She is frank about limitations of her best advice and lays out available options. She is an excellent and patient communicator. She really considers my current needs in a holistic manner and responds to each of them. When I leave an appointment with her, I feel hopeful, empowered, and freed from faulting myself for the challenges I have in managing my diabetes.

A bit aggressive! I wasn’t expecting such direct bluntness for a first visit. Appreciate the knowledge and respect her feedback, but feeling a bit taken aback with initial bedside manner.

Dr. Ku is so patient with me, explains as many times as I need to hear the explanations, and I told her how much I appreciate this. I'm going thru a difficult time trying to be pro active w osteopenia care, and was devastated that fosamax gave me so much side effect of acid reflux that I had to stop taking it after 4 weeks. I am so confused, and still am confused, about the different kinds of calcium supplements. The one I have been taking has caused stomach problems. I think that even for the doctor the choices of which to take is confusing, and different patients respond so differently. It was helpful to know that I had choices of what to take. It has been overwhelming and she lifted the load for me a bit. It was so helpful to ask her all the questions, voice all my concerns, share how emotional I am feeling about this - - and to have her listen and speak mindfully with me about what my situation is and what my options are. There was a brief wait time in the office but I didn't really mind.

I had ALOT of questions for Dr. Ku, and I never felt rushed at asking any of them. She listens carefully and takes her time with every answer. I feel heard. I have many concerns about the meds she has suggested, and I never feel as tho she is annoyed that I am hesitant and have questions. I am so glad to have her on my team. I noticed that on your website she had some negative reviews. You should take them down because they are not at all accurate. I don’t know who those people were or what their problem was, but they sounded like a good reason not to go into medicine.

It was such a wonderful experience when Dr Ku and a training medical doctor came and explained everything very clearly, and even with diagrams of what they were planning to do with my osteoporosis diagnosis was. Was very very thorough, thoughtful, and considerate of how to explain what our next steps were we’re going to be very satisfied with their explanation. I just love Dr Ku and her etiquette towards the patients.

Dr ku covered a lot of information today that was very helpful to me. She made adjustments to my insulin pump, discussed my thyroid results, examined me, reviewed recommendations, reviewed important information pertaining to my increase in medication. She also brought my low blood pressure to my attention today. I had no idea but advised me to check it daily and discuss medication and low bp w my nephrologist. She is professional and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I’m thankful to have her for my physician.
