About

Dr. Lindsay Wells is an Associate Clinical Professor of the Health Sciences in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at UCLA. She grew up in Terre Haute, Indiana, completed her undergraduate training at Washington University in St. Louis, and received her medical degree from Indiana University. She completed a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at UCLA and joined the UCLA clinical faculty in 2012. Her own personal experiences, volunteer work, and global health work in Malawi and Kenya influenced her decision to enter primary care. Her primary focus includes patient empowerment, health literacy, and teaching on racism and other structural determinants of health's impacts on medicine and patient care. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family.

Dr Wells assessed my symptoms quickly and effectively. She is my primary care provider so I was assured that she would check my previous symptoms, medications and past illnesses. She chose a course of treatment that was least intrusive and she honored my wishes for minimal prescription Treatments. She is kind, compassionate and extremely competent
