Mona Rezapour, MD, MHS

Dr. Rezapour earned her bachelor's degree in molecular environmental biology from the University of California, Berkeley. She then completed a Master of Health Sciences in reproductive and cancer biology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, followed by her medical degree at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Southern California and subsequently pursued a fellowship in gastroenterology at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. Following fellowship training, she moved to Florida to complete an advanced fellowship in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) at the University of Miami under the mentorship of Dr. Maria Abreu. During her training, Dr. Rezapour's clinical research focused on diverticular disease and the epidemiology of inflammatory bowel diseases.

Dr. Rezapour's clinical interests include inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. She also has specialized training in gastrointestinal motility and functional gastrointestinal disorders, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), constipation, and functional dyspepsia. In addition, she has expertise in breath testing and Botox therapy for gastrointestinal conditions.

Dr. Rezapour is actively involved in national gastrointestinal societies and has served in leadership roles, including with the American Gastroenterological Association's Education Universe Editorial Board. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
