About
Rebecca Gerl is a registered dietitian and certified diabetes care and education specialist who works with UCLA Health patients in Torrance and Redondo Beach. She has been a dietitian for more than 20 years, and a diabetes educator since 2003.
While she primarily works with adults, Ms. Gerl can also work with teens and children who are 5 years old and up. Her goal is to provide education and guidance in nutrition and diabetes self-management to help patients reach their health care goals.
Ms. Gerl received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from California State University, Long Beach. In addition to her CDE, she also has certifications from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in both child/adolescent and adult obesity.
When she’s not working, Ms. Gerl enjoys nature hikes, biking with her husband, spending time with her pets, and drawing and painting.
