About
Dr Sean Shafi is a Primary Care Physician who practices at UCLA Health Primary & Specialty Care in Goleta. Dr. Shafi hails from a family of physicians. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and uses a multidisciplinary approach to diagnose and treat a variety of conditions. He is fluent in Spanish.
He received his Medical Degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. This experience broadened his perspective on healthcare as a whole and fortified his desire to practice medicine and impact his patients' lives. He completed his Internal Medicine residency training at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens, New York, where he served as Chief Resident of the program.
Outside of the office, Dr. Shafi enjoys spending time with his wife and twin daughters, cooking, playing Ice Hockey, working out, and being in the outdoors.
