Sharon B. Kaminker, MD

Dr. Sharon Kaminker is a board certified pediatrician and has been a UCLA Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics since 1998 when she began practicing medicine. She was raised in Indiana and attended Indiana University earning a B.S. In Biochemistry and then continued at Indiana University for medical school. While in medical school she was awarded a grant in child psychiatry due to her unique connection with children from troubling home environments. During her residency at UCLA Dr. Kaminker continued her support of children in the community by becoming a mentor to children in middle school helping to guide them through high school and getting into college. She is a member in good standing of the American Academy of Pediatrics and was an elected board member of the Los Angeles chapter of the AAP. She is involved in the teaching of both pediatric and family practice residents at Santa Monica hospital. She enjoys helping parents get to know their children and guiding them through the challenges of being parents. Dr. Kaminker lives in Brentwood with her French Bulldog Mollie. She enjoys cooking classes, Pilates, learning classical guitar and playing tennis.
