About
Dr. Valerie Wong is a geriatrician who practices in Torrance (South Bay) providing primary care as well as geriatric specialty care consults. She aims to provide personalized medicine for older adults and specializes in the diagnosis and management of geriatric syndromes, including cognitive disorders, polypharmacy, falls, incontinence, and transitions of care.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Wong is a core faculty member for the UCLA Geriatric Fellowship Program and is currently serving as the UCLA continuity clinic site director as well as the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Champion. She is an assistant professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
Dr. Wong received her medical degree from Stony Brook School of Medicine in New York, where she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She then completed her internal medicine residency at UC Davis, where she completed additional training in quality improvement, medical education and primary care. She completed her training at UCLA for her geriatric medicine fellowship. She earlier earned her bachelor's degree from Brown University with a concentration in Neuroscience.
