Yosef Yasmeh, MD

Dr. Yasmeh (“Dr. Joe”) is a board-certified family physician who specializes in immediate care and the treatment of acute medical conditions. He is known for his empathetic clinical style centered on careful listening and clear communication, helping patients feel supported and confident in their treatment.

Dr. Yasmeh earned his medical degree from the University of California, Riverside. He completed his residency training in Family Medicine at Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills Medical Center and also trained at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Prior to medical school, he received his undergraduate degree from UCLA.

Before joining UCLA Health, Dr. Yasmeh gained extensive experience practicing in high-volume immediate care settings. In addition to his clinical work, he has contributed to medical research and co-authored publications in peer-reviewed journals and medical textbooks. Dr. Yasmeh has also maintained a long-standing commitment to community advocacy, volunteering for more than a decade with the sexual assault crisis hotline StrengthUnited.

Dr. Yasmeh is a native of the Los Angeles area. Outside of medicine, he enjoys playing acoustic guitar, writing, and developing iPhone applications, several of which are available on the Apple App Store.

Dr. Yasmeh is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
