Ambulatory Fire and Life Safety Program

The Fire/Life Safety Program is responsible for providing fire and life safety services to the non-licensed UCLA Health Ambulatory clinics.  Our goal is to implement preventative measures, along with education and training to ensure the safety of staff, patients, and visitors.

Our program services include:

  • Interpreting and applying fire and life safety codes, laws and regulations
  • Overseeing safety related to construction and renovations
  • Assisting in maintaining Life Safety Plans
  • Fire and life safety inspections of existing facilities
  • Fire drills and fire extinguisher training
  • Fire extinguisher inspections
  • New and refresher fire and life safety training
  • Fire investigation/emergency incident follow up
  • Liaison with the local Fire Departments and other regulatory agencies
