UCLA Fellowship in Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery (MRMS)

Overview

The one-year fully funded fellowship focuses on all aspects of the diagnostic and therapeutic management of male patients with infertility, sexual dysfunction and related conditions.  This is a clinical fellowship with ample opportunity for research in the basic sciences, clinical or population studies. The fellow will practice with faculty primarily at the Men’s Clinic at UCLA Santa Monica and Westwood with clinical responsibilities in a multi-disciplinary Endocrinology/Urology and Andrology clinic at an outlying UCLA institution.  Upon completion of the fellowship, the fellow will be suited to pursue a career in either academic urology or private sector.  The fellow will graduate with advanced skills in microsurgery, penile prosthetics, Peyronie’s Disease surgery and all modalities of surgical sperm extraction.  He or she will be fully able to manage all aspects of male reproductive medicine and surgery.

Applicant Qualifications

Candidates must be physician graduates of medical school (allopathic or osteopathic,) must have completed a US residency in urology, and must apply for a California medical license prior to starting the program in July.  Candidates must be US Citizens or permanent residents.  The University of California is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. UCLA assures equal employment opportunity for individuals from historically underrepresented minorities and women, for persons with disabilities, and for covered veterans.

Application Procedure

Interested candidates are encouraged to visit Los Angeles for an onsite interview and spend a day or two in the clinic and operating room with faculty. Depending on faculty availability, interviews may also be arranged at the annual AUA convention in May.
