Dr. Stoyanova awarded NCI grant to uncover new ways to treat advanced prostate cancer
Dr. Tanya Stoyanova, associate professor of UCLA Urology, will study new treatment strategies for neuroendocrine prostate cancer, a highly aggressive form of the disease.
Milestone procedure for the UCLA Health Kidney Transplant Program
UCLA Health's 10,000th kidney transplant is a testament to how much the program, co-led by surgical director Hans Albin Gritsch, MD, has grown over the decades.
Dr. Scotland Awarded Humanitarian Grant
Dr. Kymora Scotland, assistant professor of UCLA Urology, was awarded a Urology Care Foundation Humanitarian Grant to aid the efforts of urologists and projects providing patient care and education in underserved areas.
Terasaki Medical Innovation Award
Dr. Jeffrey Veale, professor of urology and director of the UCLA Kidney Transplantation Exchange Program, has won the 2023 Terasaki Medical Innovation Award for his role in developing the delayed-immune-tolerance protocol. He was also featured on KCAL/KCBS in Transplanting hope.
