Men’s Health Fellowship for Underrepresented in Medicine

UCLA Urologic Men’s Health Fellowship for Underrepresented in Medicine (URM)

Program Overview

The UCLA Urologic Men’s Health Fellowship for Underrepresented in Medicine (URM) physicians provides a post-residency training program in the clinical and procedural aspects of urologic men’s health. This fellowship is open to all 3rd year residents or post graduates completing or who have completed a primary care residency. The training program takes full advantage of the constellation of organized academic resources at UCLA. This includes participating in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with sexual dysfunction and infertility at four of our institutions: UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center, the Ronald Reagan Medical Center, the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and Martin Luther King, Jr. Hospital. These institutions provide the fellow with exposure to not only diverse populations but also to a number of outstanding faculty members with various interests within these disciplines. The fellow will also have an opportunity to participate in clinical research where ongoing research is practiced by most of the faculty.
This is a one-year fellowship.

The Men’s Clinic Workshop at UCLA

The Men's Clinic Workshop at UCLA consists of a two-day visit during which practicing urologists will spend time with Dr. Jesse Mills in clinic and the operating room. During the workshop, you will gain insight into the operation of a high-volume men's health clinic to apply to your own practice.

Ideal candidates are non-fellowship-trained urologists with backgrounds underrepresented in medicine, but all interested candidates are encouraged to apply.

Travel expenses will be covered through grant funding.
