The 9th Annual UCLA Children’s Discovery & Innovation Institute (CDI) Symposium will be held in a hybrid format on Zoom and in the Tamkin Auditorium at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center on May 13, 2022 to generate cross-campus collaborations to advance translational child health research. The UCLA CDI Institute is the research home of the Pediatrics Department and was established in 2013. The CDI Institute encourages multidisciplinary child health research and training at UCLA across the spectrum of basic, translational, clinical and health services research. The 2022 Symposium theme is “The Science of Gender” and will feature Guest Speakers, Daphna Stroumsa, MD, MPH, MSc (University of Michigan), Admiral Rachel Levine, MD (U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services), Rebecca Jordan-Young, PhD (Columbia University), Deboleena Roy, PhD (Emory University), & Sari van Anders, PhD (Queen’s University).
