Dr. Weimer grew up in Seattle, where she developed her first love of science and water. She then attended Brown University in Rhode Island where she majored in neuroscience and played water polo. She returned to the west coast to spend two years in neuroscience research at Stanford University, before attending medical school at UC San Diego. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, followed by a year as chief resident in Internal Medicine. She spent 8 years practicing primary care in internal medicine and pediatrics with the Cedars-Sinai Medical Group, before joining with UCLA to increase her involvement with teaching. In her free time, Dr. Weimer enjoys reading, and being active outdoors, especially when her children are involved.
