I would like to thank Dr. Christina Han, for the amazing care provided during my pregnancy. I was amazed by the care and quick responses I always received via chat (a chart app that I love). Dr took the time to educate me and make me feel less worried during the pregnancy journey. It is important to have and feel that you are in good care when your health and most importantly your baby's health are involved. Now I have a healthy boy!

I would like to recognize Dr. Jason Hirsch for his amazing care. I had surgery about 2 weeks ago and Dr. Hirsch took such great care of me. Made me feel safe, and heard. He explained everything to me answered all my questions and was just such an amazing doctor. He was so understanding and showed true empathy didn't dismiss my fears and anxiety. I will forever be in his debt for making my surgical experience less scary. There's is not enough thank you I can give him.

My family and I came down to experience one of the scariest moments in our lives as my mom was having a brain tumor removed by Dr. B.
I want to extend my deepest gratitude to Sohan who we first came into contact with in Maddie's Room. He was patient & kind from the very beginning and incredibly informative. His attention to detail and his care for others is outstanding & is very easy to notice. I enjoyed speaking with him about other things besides the medical info to help get my mind off the stress of the day as well. Everyone I have encountered during our time at UCLA has been exceptionally gracious and wonderful but Sohan stuck out to me because to some his job may not seem that important but to me I see it as an incredibly important part of the big puzzle that is the care team at the hospital. This morning when we arrived to visit my mom in the recovery unit, he met us with a smile & remembered each of our names, and even asked about a family friend who had returned home yesterday. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to Sohan for showing me and my family kindness during this really scary time.

I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to the UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center Labor and Delivery Team, and Dr. Ramneek Rana, for the exceptional care and support during the delivery and postpartum care of my firstborn.

From the very first moment we arrived, everyone we encountered -- from the front desk staff to security, care partners, nurses, physicians, and lactation specialists -- treated us with utmost kindness, professionalism, and care. Your dedication and expertise made the entire experience smooth and filled with warmth, even amidst the natural anxieties of childbirth.

I am particularly grateful for how everyone took the time to listen attentively to our needs and preferences. Your respectful approach and willingness to involve us in medical decisions ensured that we always felt informed and empowered throughout the process. This meant a lot to us as new parents navigating this profound journey for the first time.

Thanks to your incredible teamwork and support, our delivery experience could not have been more positive. We felt genuinely cared for, not just as patients, but as individuals embarking on one of life's most significant milestones.

Your dedication and compassion have left an indelible mark on our hearts, and we will always remember the special role UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center played in welcoming our precious daughter into the world.

Joselyn demonstrates endless patients and unwavering kindness in all she does. She truly cares for her patients and it shows in her daily uplifting greeting soothing voice and upbeat attitude. When your down call Joslyn she will help you through your difficult times. She is greatly appreciated by myself and my wife for all the time and effort she gave to me during my time in her area. Even when she was not assigned to me she would stop in say hello ask how I was feeling...these actions are highly valued and much needed to help promote healing both physical and mentally. Joselyn has made my stay a little easier to say the least.

I was in the hospital for a month. I was lucky to have Sharon as my nurse twice. She was extremely competent and went above and beyond. I wanted to go for a walk, but couldn't find PT. I've been experiencing numerous issues with my spine, which have inevitably affected nerves throughout my body. Seeking a second opinion to ensure nothing was overlooked proved challenging, as I had to navigate around doctors who seemed reluctant to engage. This led me to make several calls.

My first attempt was to the assistant of the initial doctor I consulted. Unfortunately, this interaction was unpleasant and left me with no clear path to obtain a second opinion. Undeterred, I contacted UCLA's general spine department, where I was fortunate enough to speak with Maritza.

Unlike the first attempt, Maritza's approach was extraordinary. Instead of being merely efficient and detached, her tone of voice conveyed genuine care and empathy. I sensed she understood my pain and frustration in trying to navigate the healthcare system. Her willingness to help to the fullest extent possible was truly remarkable.

I could not have been more grateful for Martiza's assistance. I truly wish all patients could have someone like her on the other end of the line. Thanks to her swift action and support, I was able to schedule that crucial second opinion within just one hour.

Dr. Jennifer Baker was an extraordinary doctor and surgeon who put my mind at ease before a very scary emotional surgery. Anna is truly such a caring and hardworking person. She always goes out of her way to make sure that as many kids as possible are able to visit the Zone and have a safe, fun experience. She is very communicative with the volunteers and is very good at teaching them all the right protocol to make sure the Zone stays clean and safe. She works after hours constantly to make sure the Zone is clean and organized every night. She is such an anchor to families in the hospital, as she knows all of the children and families by name and is a friendly face they can rely on during their time in the hospital.

Words really cannot describe all of the time, effort, energy, and passion Anna dedicates to ensuring the Child Life Zone playroom is optimally functioning and fun for patients. Anna truly works overtime to keep the Zone functioning. There have been countless times she stays after the playroom closes to continue working. She also puts in extra time to host orientations and trainings to allow more students to gain experience, and most importantly, to ensure that there continues to be new volunteers to play with and care for the patients. I think anyone who has interacted with Anna for over 5 minutes can tell how much she cares for both the patients and all of the volunteers. The Zone truly wouldn't be what it is (or literally function) without Anna.
Anna, we recognize all that you do for us (the volunteers) and the patients!! We are so grateful for you--thank you for all of your hard work and so much more.
