Social Work Month
In March, our department celebrated Social Work month.
Our Social workers advocate on behalf of our patients and their families, intervene during times of crisis, protect the rights of our pediatric and adult patient populations, and continually listen with empathy and understanding!
This year's theme for Social Work Month is elevate!
Our Social Workers lead, support, develop, facilitate, encourage, and elevate. They help patients and their families to persevere, focus on their strengths, and provide needed support to endure and flourish through the most challenging of times. Social Workers are holistic thinkers trained to bring people together to support an individual, a group, or a cause. Our social workers assist our patients with accessing community resources such as housing, transportation, and medical care. We celebrated with a Social Work brunch and tea event.
Administrative Professionals Day
The Department of Care Coordination and Clinical Social Work honored our administrative staff on April 24. Our administrative professionals work diligently to ensure patient care is facilitated smoothly.
We thank our administrative team for their continued efforts. The department celebrated with an appreciation breakfast.
