About Us
The UCLA Division of Clinical Nutrition leads a wide range of cutting-edge research programs through the UCLA Center for Human Nutrition, including programs on gene-nutrient interaction, phytochemistry, nutritional biochemistry and dietary interventions.
The center offers dedicated research facilities to conduct controlled feeding, body composition, strength and aerobic testing studies as well as space for phlebotomy, physical examination and sample preparation. Some laboratories are housed in the UCLA Rehabilitation building on the southwestern end of campus, in close proximity to the VA Medical Center and Ronald Reagan Medical Center.
The clinical nutrition division works extensively with other divisions in the UCLA Department of Medicine as well as other departments throughout the health system. These collaborations are essential to the development of innovative nutrition research.
Sponsorship for our work comes from the National Institutes for Health, pharmaceutical companies, and non-profit medical organizations.
