Laboratories within the UCLA Division of Clinical Nutrition study nutrition and metabolism to understand biological and clinical outcomes among populations. Our faculty conduct cutting-edge basic science and clinical research on the impact of nutrients and gut microbiome composition on metabolic response, obesity, insulin resistance and chronic disease; their findings lead to new paradigms in lifestyle medicine.
