Latest News & Events
The Palliative Care Research Center hosts many activities throughout the year. Every other month, the Works in Progress Seminar provides a platform for faculty and fellows engaged in palliative care to share their ongoing research projects and obtain valuable feedback from their peers. This helps strengthen the academic community and infrastructure that palliative care post-doctoral fellows and junior faculty need to be successful, as well as provides educational opportunities for trainees of all levels and specialties with interest in this topic. The center also invites guest lecturers annually, coinciding every other year with the bi-annual Palliative Care Research Symposium. The symposium is an opportunity to bring together palliative care researchers, clinicians, and collaborators at UCLA and the VA to demonstrate the breadth and depth of ongoing work and to stimulate future collaboration and innovation.
