Smoking Cessation Program

About

Smoking is the leading cause of preventable disease and death worldwide. Led by a team of primary care providers, respiratory therapists, and clinical pharmacists, the UCLA Health Smoking Cessation Program aims to help people quit smoking to lead healthier lives.

The Smoking Cessation Program was formed as an initiative of UCLA Department of Medicine Quality team, Preventive Medicine Program, and respiratory therapists to address rising trends in smoking.

Our mission is to decrease smoking rates by improving clinical treatment options, education, and access to smoking cessation products to help smokers quit. Our comprehensive treatment program includes focused outpatient visits to provide tailored counseling and treatment options for smoking cessation. We also offer seamless inpatient-to-outpatient transitions, building upon smoking cessation treatments that were initiated during a patient's hospital stay.

How to Refer

This interdisciplinary program offers a variety of treatment options and is available to patients through a referral from a primary care provider at UCLA.
