Dear Applicants,

Thank you for your interest in UCLA Pediatric Hospital Medicine! In order to provide an equitable review of all applicants, our program has taken guidance from the APPD and CoPS and will commit to the following for this match cycle:

  • Perform a holistic review of applications, recognizing that access to different clinical, research, extracurricular, work, and other experiences vary significantly across programs.
  • Offer virtual interviews to ALL applicants including local ones, to provide a more equitable structure, reduce the economic burden of travel, and minimize disruption to professional and personal responsibilities.
  • Offer in-person second looks that provide applicants an opportunity to learn more about the area without impacting ranking; to ensure this, second looks will only be held once the rank order list is submitted by the program and will be led by current fellows without program leadership involvement.

How to Apply

Applications for the 2024-25 academic year will be reviewed using ERAS. Applicants must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatrics upon entering fellowship. Selection will be made through the NRMP fall match. Additional resources may be found at https://www.aap.org/phmfellows.

Important Deadlines: 

ERAS Application: Open to submissions July 5, 2023

Interview Invitations: Sent as early as July 20, 2023, rolling thereafter

NRMP Rank List Certification Deadline: November 15, 2023

NRMP Match Day: November 29, 2023

Start Date: July 8, 2024
