Program Overview - (NRMP Code: 1956143F0)
The UCLA – VA Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism Fellowship Program strives for excellence in its pursuit to train the next generation of outstanding clinicians, educators & researchers.
Our program offers unparalleled clinical and research opportunities at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center and the VA Greater Los Angeles Health Care System. Fellows participate in both in-patient and out-patient care at our three exceptional sites, gaining exposure to diverse patient population while learning to diagnose and manage a wide variety of endocrine disorders. Our fellows assume progressive independence in clinical care as they advance through our two year fellowship program, with the goal of providing trainees with advanced training and experience needed to acquire knowledge, skills, and competencies required to be a consultant in Endocrinology.
During our two year training program (4-6 fellows per year), fellows will spend their time in a wide variety of learning and patient care environments:
Our program's unique learner centered approach further enhances a fellow's development through full access to the faculty, educational resources, research opportunities, and clinical experiences at all affiliated medical centers.
In addition, the STAR program track at UCLA offers clinicians interested in research the ability to pursue both clinical & research training.
