How you can help the UCLA Division of Liver and Pancreas Transplantation
The Division of Liver and Pancreas Transplantation in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is providing the highest level of care to patients in the Southwest and beyond.
UCLA is home to one of the world's leading liver, pancreas and intestinal transplantation programs. We are dedicated to administering expert treatment for all aspects of liver, pancreas and intestinal disease including inpatient and outpatient surgical care, complex and advanced procedures transplanting multiple organs, treating and managing liver disease before transplant, living donor transplant, and hepatobiliary surgery.
The Division is internationally recognized for its work in adult and pediatric patient care, education, and research. Our basic and translational research programs focus on graft tolerance, minimizing rejection, immunology, ischemia reperfusion injury and genetic mapping of liver tumors, while training the next generation of international leaders in transplantation surgery.
To continue as a leader in this area, UCLA depends heavily on donor support. Private contributions are vital to the maintenance of daily operations, to the expansion of much-needed services, and to the Division's ability to stay at the forefront of medical breakthroughs.
