Lighting the Night Part of Blood Cancer Fight
The gold lantern is for remembrance, the red lantern is for supporters, and the white lantern is for survivors,” explains Gabriela Rivera, a department security administrator for the department of medicine. Gabriela is participating in the Light the Night Walk on November 9th.
“We’re raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. There are numerous teams within UCLA Health, and we have many people on the UCLA Department of Medicine Team. The money goes towards research and helping patients. There are 1.2 million people in America living with or in remission from blood cancers. The Light the Night Walk is a very special way to support and help the patients. It should be a special night.
Join the UCLA Health team at the 2019 LLS Light The Night Walk on Sat, Nov 9th in Century City and meet some of our amazing patients and their families. Register at lightthenightucla.org.
