Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA to host 12th annual 'Mattel Party on the Pier'

WHAT:
The 12th annual "Mattel Party on the Pier" is a fun-filled family fundraising event held at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier to benefit UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital. Guests will enjoy a full day of amusement park rides, a silent auction, arts and crafts, and carnival games stocked with prizes donated by Mattel and manned by stars from some of today's hottest kids' television shows. Attendees will include hospital supporters, medical staff, pediatric patients and their families, and celebrities.

BACKGROUND: 
The "Mattel Party on the Pier" is the signature fundraiser for UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital, selling out each year, with some 1,400 attendees. The event generates funding for the hospital, allowing it to launch innovative projects and meet its most urgent needs. Proceeds from last year's event provided direct support for important initiatives, such as our pediatric stem-cell and gene therapy programs; our inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) program; and our Chase Child Life Program.
 
Mattel is the event's title sponsor. Additional major sponsors include Duracell, the John W.
