Panel: Investing in health could bring profound returns by 2035

WHAT:
The UCLA Center for World Health will celebrate its launch by hosting a panel of leading experts in the field of global health to explore "Global Health 2035," a report published by The Lancet to explore the case for health investment.  
 
Written by an independent commission of 25 internationally recognized economists and health experts co-led by panelist Dean Jamison, the report examines universal health coverage, addresses creative financing approaches for curbing disease and injuries, and predicts powerful returns on investments in global health by 2035, including bringing preventable infectious, maternal and child deaths down to an all-time low.
