“Somewhere in the neighborhood of a quarter of our surgical patients are patients who have come from throughout the country to UCLA Health to see us,” explains Dr. Chad Baxter, assistant clinical professor of urology and expert at the Center for Women's Pelvic Health at UCLA. “A large portion of women suffer from urinary tract infections, prolapse, incontinence of urine, or pain. This is a largely underserved population, as it’s been historically neglected in medicine. I hope that women are aware there are answers to many of their problems. These issues can be fixed, or if they can’t be fixed, they can be dramatically helped to improve these patients quality of life.”
