Nursing Simulation Education

Center for Nursing Excellence Simulation Education Program

The Nursing Simulation Education Program (NSEP) provides a safe learning environment for the practicing nurse to experience patient care using the latest experiential learning strategies. The NSEP offers several levels of experiential learning from the use of task simulators, to using standardized patients in clinical scenarios, and even CPR training at the bedside with full feedback on compression and ventilation skills.

The mission of the NSEP is to provide advanced education and opportunities for the professional nurse on current patient safety issues, assisting with developing new competencies and to promote confidence through experiential learning. The outcome of the NSEP uplifts the mission of the UCLA Health Nursing in the delivery of leading-edge patient care.
