How to Use PRP

Setting Up a New Study

Research investigators must submit an application prior to initiating a research protocol. Please note that PRP participation will depend on the study requirements. To apply, complete the Online Application if you are a UCLA affiliate, or contact the CPRS team. One of the CPRS Research Coordinators will review your application. A Notice of Approval letter will be provided when your study is approved. We look forward to working with you and your team!

Specimen Transport to PRP

Research investigators will be billed monthly. Please notify the lab if there are funding (recharge ID and/or FAU) changes. Research subjects can be identified by UCLA ID or Anonymous ID. For those identified by UCLA ID, lab results are available through our UCLA Health Systems Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Results are only obtained by hardcopy printouts assigned to a designated fax.

Billing & Lab Results

Research investigators will be billed monthly. Please notify the lab if there are funding changes. Research subjects can be identified by UCLA ID or Anonymous ID. For those identified by UCLA ID, lab results are available through our UCLA Health Systems Electronic Medical Record (EMR). For those identified by Anonymous ID, the results will not be filed in a patient’s chart but will still utilize the EMR for results.
