Physician Moderate Sedation

To request Physician Moderate Sedation privileges, physicians must complete a required knowledge assessment covering:

• UCLA Policy for the Use of Moderate Sedation and Analgesia During Procedures
• American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Practice Guidelines for Sedation and Analgesia by Non‑Anesthesiologists

• Access the Physician Moderate Sedation Training in Cornerstone (Sign in with your UCLA AD account)

How to Complete Physician Sedation Training

1. Sign in to Cornerstone using your UCLA AD account.
   • Log in to the Cornerstone Learning Management System
2. In the Search box, type Physician Sedation Training and select the course titled "Physician Sedation Training for Non-Anesthesiologists" 
3. Select Request Training.
4. Select Launch Training to begin.
5. Select the Play button to start the course.
   • The training takes approximately 45 minutes and includes a short assessment at the end.
6. After completion, save a copy of your certificate and submit it to: [email protected]
