Code of Conduct

When participating in UCLA Health Operation Mend, it is necessary to observe our code of conduct:

• I agree to be respectful to all individuals participating, including UCLA Health Operation Mend teammates, service providers, bystanders, guests and the public. 
• I agree that I am responsible for the conduct of myself and my nonmedical attendant or caregiver. I understand that if I, or we, violate this agreement, my program participation may be terminated.
• I will not act in any way that is discriminating, harassing or sexually offensive. I understand that any actions or behavior of this nature, whether verbal or nonverbal, are strictly prohibited and my program participation may be terminated. 
• I will not use excessive profanity or any language that may be offensive or be considered insensitive. This includes my attire; I agree not to wear clothing with crude or inappropriate images or words. 
• I agree to not wear clothing that includes messages supporting a particular political party (such as hats, shirts, exposed tattoos). I agree to not wear clothing that includes messages expressing my opinions or promoting any advocacy group, race, sexual orientation or identity (such as hats, shirts, exposed tattoos). Religious clothing and jewelry that is worn in observation of your faith is permitted. 
• UCLA Health Operation Mend reserves the right to remove any individual whose behavior or actions are deemed, in program sole discretion, inappropriate, rude, derogatory, disrespectful or threatening.
• I understand that violence and criminal behavior or activity is not tolerated and will be immediately reported to UCLA police. This behavior will lead to termination of care within the UCLA Health Operation Mend programs. 
• I understand possession of weapons, firearms or objects that may be used as a weapon are not permitted on UCLA Health and campus property, including The Tiverton Health and Wellness Hotel.
• If you witness or are a victim of behaviors or actions that violate the Code of Conduct, program participants must alert their care team, and the UCLA Police Department will be notified.

Violation of any of the above may result in program dismissal.
